Zero Waste Week Tour: Wild Oyster Project & Recology Pier 96

Join us for a fantastic day exploring San Francisco’s bayside and learning about innovative local environmental efforts.

10 AM – Tour #1, Wild Oyster Project. EcoCenter at Heron’s Head Park, 32 Jennings St, San Francisco, CA 94124

11:45 AM / Noon – BYO picnic Lunch, Heron’s Head Park, (3200 Jennings St, San Francisco, CA 94124, at the end of Cargo Way). Small parking lot with 25 spaces.

1 PM – Tour #2, Recology Pier 96 1000 Amador St, San Francisco, CA 94124 

We will start the day at The Wild Oyster Project, where we will learn how this nonprofit is working to restore native oyster populations in San Francisco Bay and support a healthier marine ecosystem.

For lunch, we will picnic at Heron's Head Park. Please bring lunch and something to share with others on the tour.

We will end the day with a visit to Recology’s Pier 96.

To visit Pier 96, you must drive or carpool. No bikes allowed. Please note - rideshare services are not readily available.

For both locations, dress comfortably, wear safe, closed toe shoes; no heels. 

Will need to sign a waiver upon arrival at Pier 96.
